As a multidisciplinary care hospital, STMC provides the best communication towards smile and the best care according international standards. The St Therese Medical Center – STMC hospital currently 110 beds distributed over 7 departments and is equipped with modern medical equipment, to be extended to 160 beds by 2025.

Emergency Service

You well-being is our priority, at our Emergency Service at the STMC, we put your health first. The Emergency Service at the STMC provides care to patients with serious or life threatening illnesses that require urgent attention. Patients are first assessed and triaged according to the severity and urgency of the case, and treated by the nurses and physicians of the Emergency Department as soon as possible. No waiting for insurance, we jump into action with care and professionalism. This may include resuscitation, diagnostic testing, stabilization and possibly admission to hospital or discharge home with a prescription and a medical follow up.

Intensive care unit

The intensive care unit at the STMC contains 6 beds, treats all patients with acute, life-threatening conditions. The attending physicians in the department are anesthesiologists -resuscitators. Equipped with the modern images that help us make a quick diagnosis to start the appropriate treatment. It has a dialysis machine for quick response in emergency cases and the newest technologies for an excellent quality of care. Patients arrive in intensive care because one or more of their organ systems are failing or are at risk of failing. This may include the circulatory system (shock), the respiratory system (asthma, pneumonia), the heart (heart attack, cardiac arrest), the digestive system (gastric hemorrhage, intestinal obstruction), the nervous system (brain trauma, epilepsy, coma)...

Medical and surgical wards

The department of Medicine at the STMC, offers patient care for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness. Our patient care begins from the moment they enter the hospital until they are discharged. The main objective is always to comply with international standards and Lebanese laws, in order to provide the highest quality healthcare possible. Our approach to infectious diseases follows WHO and CDC guidelines for your safety.

Obstetrics and gynecology

Our team of Obstetricians and Midwives working within STMC, dedicated to the close and personalized support of our patients throughout the prenatal phase, labor, delivery and postpartum care. Our overall goal is to enable each mother to have a birth that best meets her individual needs and to guarantee quality care, promote maternal and infant safety, and ensure a positive transition to parenthood. After birth, our midwives ensure that mothers receive appropriate advice to help them adjust to their new life with their baby, encourage breastfeeding, and receive education on a number of important topics related to their baby's health and their own.

Pediatrics

The pediatric department welcomes children from birth to the age of 15, for any medical or surgical pathology. It covers both general pediatric activities and several specific pediatric activities: nephrology, pulmonology, rheumatology, cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, gynecology, endocrinology, infectious diseases and pediatric surgery. Upon arrival in the department, children are cared for by a multidisciplinary team, whose main objective is to create a reassuring, calm and secure physical and psychological environment to promote the child's adaptation to their new environment and promote rapid healing and harmonious psychomotor development of the child.

Neonatology

The Department of Neonatology at the STMC is a multidisciplinary department, whose main objectives are:
Providing appropriate care as quickly as possible to stabilize urgent pediatric situations.
Providing quality treatment of sick children in accordance with international care protocols.
Ensure the safety of children.
Ensure proper resuscitation in the best conditions

Operating Room

The Department of Anesthesiology at the STMC works for the purpose of providing the best perioperative care for all patients in the Operating Room and other satellite locations such as the Endoscopy Unit, the Catheterization Unit and the Obstetrics ward. The Operating Room is also equipped with the modern equipment and its main objective is to ensure patient safety and high quality at all times.

Pharmacy

Pharmacie in STMC play a critical role in patient care. It manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of medications, ensuring that patients receive the correct drugs at the right doses. Hospital pharmacists collaborate with doctors and nurses to develop treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and provide drug information and education. They also play a key role in preventing medication errors and ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices in medication management.

Dietetics and Nutrition

HIIDietetics and nutrition play a crucial at the STMC, where the focus is on ensuring patients receive appropriate nourishment to support their recovery and overall health. Dietitians work closely with patients and medical staff to ensure these dietary requirements are met.
Upon admission, patients undergo nutritional assessments to determine their dietary needs. Dietitians monitor patients' nutritional status throughout their hospital stay and make adjustments to their meal plans as needed. After discharge, they may provide follow-up care to ensure patients continue to meet their nutritional goals and maintain good health.
